Radiation and Hormonal Blockade combination for Prostate Cancer- Caution

Standard approach is to give hormonal deprivation treatment for a period of 6 months in conjunction with radiation treatment on the prostate. It is believed to increase survival according to studies. Recent study by D’Amico in the American Journal of Medicine (JAMA Sept 2015) demonstrates better survival of patients who were in the intermediate to severe comorbidity groups by undergoing only radiation without additional concurrent hormonal ablation for 6 months.

Cryo Immuno Therapy Part 3

Part 3 of the lecture about Cryo Immune Therapy given by Dr. Israel  Barken from the Prostate Research and Education Foundation.  Dr. Barken describes Cryo immunotherapy. The reasons why there are no consistent immune response after cryoablation are discussed.  Suggestions for further research to enhance the cryoablation immune activation are brought up, based on pre clinical research on the subject.  This is the third lecture to demonstrating further evidence of the cryo immunology phenomena.
